Yesterday with my group we came up with the draft idea of making a horror based opening scene and the concept (which might change in the future) will be as follows , a new family are moving into their new house so we see them moving boxes and looking around with curiosity, the parents ask one of their sons to go and put some remaining boxes in the loft when he refuses to go and a big arguement takes place. To stop the argument one of the daughters agrees to do the job and goes up to the loft , a couple seconds later we hear a scream and the boxes falling down , we hear some stairs creek and the sound of footsteps then everything fades out into a black screen.
After we shared our idea with the rest of the class they gave useful feeback like the fact that it seemed like there was alot of things going on and that it would be hard to produce or that it would take too much time to put everything in a short space of time. This made me relise that we don't need a lot of diologe to keep everything moving smoothly and that we have to make sure that we don't use to much props.
